If you have AirPlay on your iPhone, there is a chance that there is an AirPlay notification on your iPhone’s lock screen.
This can be an issue for those who don’t like notifications on their lock screens. When there is screen mirroring on iPhone, AirPlay can appear on the lock screen.
How to Get Rid of AirPlay Notification from the Lock Screen?
If you accidentally touch the AirPlay notification on the lock screen, it can stop the streaming which can be a problem. Apple hasn’t made it easy to turn off the notification from the screen but you can still do it with the following steps:
1- Go to iPhone Lockscreen Media Control
The iPhone has a media control panel that handles all the media controls on the iPhone. Click on the blue AirPlay icon that is next to the title of media that is playing currently.
2- Select Control Other Speakers and TV
After you click the icon, a menu will appear with some options. Click on the Control Other Speakers and TV option.
3- Tap iPhone in the Next Menu
Another menu will appear and you will have to tap on the “iPhone” option. When you do this, you are letting your iPhone know that you do not want to control the remote AirPlay device with your iPhone.
4- A New PlayBack will Appear
When you click on the iPhone, a new multi-media playback will appear on the screen. But there are some other steps to follow to get AirPlay off the iPhone Lock Screen.
5- Put the iPhone to Sleep
The next step is to put the iPhone to sleep by clicking the side button. When you turn on the iPhone, the AirPlay media playback will not be on your screen anymore.
This is for when any type of media is not playing on AirPlay. Apple still hasn’t done anything to get rid of AirPlay off the lock screen when the media is playing.
